Hi there, I understand your concern regarding recurrent UTI of your daughter. I have many patients similar to your profile and I would like to share with you that if patients does not have any symptoms of UTI (like burning urination , pain while passing urine, increased frequency, fever) then bacteria in urine examination or few pus cells or bacteria in culture does not require treatment ( except pregnancy) as 5-10% healthy population have this finding. But if your daughter is symptomatic then you should get a urine culture and ultrasound lower abdomen to know cause of recurrent UTI and consult your physician who may prescribe antibiotic according to bacteria grown in culture and antibiotic sensitivity hope this answer your quarry if you have further quarry then please write to me wish your daughters good health Dr Rajesh K Meena
