Any Suggestion For Sternum Pain When Sitting, Laying, Breathing, Coughing And Sneezing?

Hi my friend cracked my back last night and pushed on my chest really hard at the same time. And right after my sternum stared to hurt very badly, and it still hurts today. It hurts when I sit up from laying down (sit up motion,) and when I take deep breaths or cough or sneeze. Is this serious?

Hi,

As mentioned in history, I feel it will be a small hairline fracture over the chest. You can take the X-ray to cross it. The symptoms are indicative of the same.

Doing deep breathing exercises while keeping the hand over the painful area should help the movement of rib cage to stay optimum and avoid any chest complications.

Use hot water fermentation over the painful region for soothing effect. Also kindly avoid applying more pressure to the chest. avoid lifting heavy objects for time being.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
