Any Suggestion For White Spots And Red Line Looking Like Blood Vein On Tonsils Other Than Z-pack, Inhaler?

Hi, I just got treated for broncides and was given a 5 day zpack and a inhaler but it's over a week and a half later and my coughing has gotten much worse. Like a whistle. I also have very little white spots on my tonsils and a red line on one that looks like a blood vein. This morning I cough up phlegm with blood. Do you have any clue what's wrong?

Thanks for writing your query.

After reading your post, I would like to advise you that you should get yourself clinically examined by an ENT specialist. Your symptoms are suggestive of tonsillitis.

Following investigations will be helpful :-
1. Throat swab culture.
2. Complete Blood Count(CBC).
3. Chest X-Ray(PA view).
4. Sputum examination.

Antibiotic which is effective for the causative organism can be started according to the reports of the throat swab culture. It might be a possibility that the infective organism is not sensitive to Azithromycin (Z pack), so it is not able to give you full cure.

Sometimes due to severe coughing, small blood vessels can get ruptured resulting in blood mixed sputum.

Medical management can be planned according to your reports.
