Any Thoughts For Diminished Hearing After Ear Damage With Q-tip?
Yes I carefully use a q-tip to keep my ears clean so that I can hear better and this morning had one sticking in each ear with a towel over my shoulder...walked around a corner in my bathroom and hit the one in my left ear with my forearm and, stupidly, jammed it into my ear!...immediately painful and got a headache within seconds. So all day so far I have diminished hearing but it does seem to be slowly returning but I'm concerned. I didn't have the greatest hearing to begin with because of riding loud motorcycles for over forty years and playing guitars at high volume for a similar amount of time which I've always loved and have never made any apologies for. I'm not an idiot and have always known and understood risk but this is so simple yet incredibly dumb. I am just hoping I didn't actually puncture the eardrum. Any thoughts or advice?
hello! well. i would not like to scare you! but from your history , it is likely that you have punctured the ear drum! still.. dont worry! as most of these heal without any trouble! just meet your ent doctor soon and keep the ear dry! and.. please dont use q tips!! thanks
