Are Logynon Equally Proportionate Of Taking Microgynon?
Hi, I need the emergency contraceptive but my country of residence do not sell them. I was told take 4 microgynon and 12 hours later 4 more but they do not sell them here. I have logynon but am unsure of which colour tablet is the same as microgynon as there are 3 different strengths in logynon

Both these Microgynon and Logynon are normal contraceptive and usually, these have not been devised for emergency medical contraception. The actions of both of these, even in increased dosage of 4 or 8 tablets is uncertain as both of these, have two hormones- ethinyl estradiol and levonorgestrel, where as emergency contraceptive pill contains only one type of hormone that is levonorgestrel.
Otherwise, also none out of 3 color type tablets of Logynon, matches with strength of microgynon. Hence, it is always advised to use emergency contraceptive pill like Plan-B or Morning after pill etc. under guidance of your doctor for this purpose & it should be used within 72 hours for better results.
