I was put on Minocycline 100 mg for my Nodular Rosacea . I am 54 and been experiencing Severe cyst like acne on my face. I already have scarring. I was also put on topical Metronidazole and Alclometasone Dipropionate. Will this help? I am desperate to clear this up. It is affecting my quality of life! Thank you

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Yes, topical Metronidazole, Sulfacetamide/sulfur, and Azelaic Acid are generally effective for patients with mild rosacea. For moderate papulopustular rosacea, combination therapy with oral tetracyclines and topical agents is the first-line choice.

So continue above treatment still have queries please feel free to ask.

Take care.
