Noted the history of extreme pain in abdomen, tenderness and vomiting, visited ER, gave Zofran and tramadol, ultrasound done and diagnosed as possible gastrointestinal virus. Zofran is Ondansetron and hence given as an anti-emetic. Tramadol is a painkiller and as you have mentioned is better avoided in gastrointestinal cases as it acts on the sphincter of Oddi and other parts of intestines. But this can be given if one is sure about the diagnosis. So do not worry, get the investigations of stool, blood and urine done, further treatment depends upon the reports of investigations and progress of your symptoms. Take plenty of oral fluids.
