Are Antibiotics Required For Pus+2, Bacteria+2 Stool Results?

My son is four monthe old, he takes both breast and formula milk now for the second time in a month i have seen mucus on his stool so i took him his stool to the lab and was found pus+2 bacteria+2..pls advise if i have to give him antibiotic...need your help.........

Hi, welcome to healthcare magic forum. Thank you for writing here.

As per the history stool examination report shows +2 pus cells & +2 bacteria, so there is nothing serious regarding the report. But you told that there is mucus coming in stool so that indicates some infection in intestine.

So in my opinion better start some antibiotic under valuable guidance of a pediatrician. So that it will not cause any further complications.

I usually prescribe my patients syrup-Oflox-OZ 1.5ml two times in a day.
