Are Anxiety And Muscle Cramps Side Effects Of Lyrica?

Have have been taking lyrica for about a month. A few days ago, started having severe knee and lower leg/above ankle pain. Also have started experiencing very troubling anxiety of shortness of breath, tingling in face, high heart rate, memory issues, and muscle cramps. Can these be side effects of taking lyrica.

Hello thanks for asking from HCM for your health related doubts

I can understand your concern. Lyrica is Pregabalin and is a GABA drug. The drug has shown to be effective in controlling anxiety in a lot of individuals. So anxiety is not a side effect of this drug. Yes in high dose the drug might result in heaviness in head and dizziness.

The drug helps in reducing the muscular pain and is not a cause of leg crams. So the side effects you're having are not due to Lyrica.
