Are Anxiety, Tinnitus, And Panic Attacks Side Effects Due To The Constant Use Of Synthroid?
Goodmorning Doctor, i'am a 66 year old female 5'6. I weigh 115 pounds. Blond hair green eyes and of Irish decent. I'am not fat at all. Now this is my problem, I have been on 25 mg of Synthroid for 25 years. My labs are normal, however when I take the Synthroid it make me have alot of anxiety and panic. My ears ring and I feel terrible on this stuff. I tried taking it at different times of the day. First thing in the morning on an empty stomach as perscribed. Also I have tried taking it at night before bed, it heats me up and I can't sleep. What are your thoughts on this. Thank you Alana
Synthroid is similar to your natural thyroid hormone and it does not cause anxiety or panic attacks.
You can check your thyroid status and confirm that your thyroid hormones are within normal limits. If symptoms persist you can consult a psychiatrist and get evaluated.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
