Are Baths Of The Foot With Extract Of The Herb Cotinus Coggygria Safe For A Child With G6PD Deficiency?

Hi, my son (7 years old) has Glucose-6-Phosphate Dehydrogenase Deficiency (G6PD) and now has an inflamed toe. Is it safe for him to take baths of the foot with extract of the herb Cotinus coggygria (syn. Rhus cotinus, the European smoketree)? What about povidone ioidine and potassium permanganate - are they safe or can cause hemolysis being strong oxidizing agents?
