Are Breathlessness With Mild Exertion, Palpitations, Irregular And Elevated Heart Rate Adverse Effects Of Medrol Intake?

Just completed a Medrol Dose Pack about 4 days ago for severe back pain not responding to NSAIDS. Two days ago started experiencing SOB with mild exertion, palpitations and irregular and elevated HR. I don t take any other meds except occasional Advil prn. Are these side effects strictly from the Medrol and if so how long will they last. They are quite debilitating.

Hi,

Your heart symptoms after mild exertion need cardiac check up. It is less likely to be medicine side effect.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Vasudha Jayant Athavale, General & Family Physician
