Are Bruise With Bumps In Leg Common To Occur?

I got kicked in the leg really hard three or four weeks ago. There was a large bruise but it has disappeared completely now. There is still a large bump on my leg though. It is very hard to the touch but it only hurts when a lot of force is applied. Will this disappear soon?

Hello,

As per your case history, you are having a purpuric rash. My treatment advice is -
1. Don't squeeze the lesion as it may worsen the condition.
2. Apply a soothing lotion like calamine lotion on affected region twice daily.
3. Take a vitamin c supplement once daily for 3 months.
4. Other treatment options are oral multivitamins and topical steroid given only after consulting a dermatologist.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Harshit Bhachech
