Are Bumps On Legs And Sore Lymph Nodes Signs Of HIV Infection?

I broke out in pimples all over my upper legs, butt, and seems to be spreading. maybe slowing down as of yesterday. started 2 weeks ago. I m afraid it may be herpes folliculitus, or some folliculitus. I ve had many sex partners over the past few months and am very concerned it may be HIV symptoms. about 6 months ago i got real sore lymph nodes and a fever. texted negative for HIV a month later. not tested since. have had unprotected sex since. a couple times. two different partners unprotected. also i ve lost some weight, and had diahreah off and on. not chronic diaherah at all.. but has come and gone 3 times in 4 months. lasts for a few days each time. but that may be caused by Zoloft I m on 100 mg/ day

Thanks for your query at HCM
Firstly you need to relax before you jump to conclusions.
There are various causes of rashes infective as well as non-infective. It can be measles, typhus, relapsing fever, dengue, etc.Diarrhea could be also due to Enteric fever, colitis, drug induced. Get Full blood count, including platelet count, and examination of a thin film for cell morphology,Urine microscopy and culture, Serum chemistry,Blood culture. It you have pustular lesion you can get culture/sensitivity performed especially for streptococcal infections. You can also get HIV Elisa test repeated. You need to start an emperical antibiotic treatment first. As you could also be suffering from intestinal TB as symptoms suggest you can undertake ultrasound /ileo-caecal junction biopsy test for TB-PCR. Set of other investigation may also be required.
