Are Fatigue, Insomnia, Irregular Heart Rhythms And Breathing Trouble Side Effects Of Sotalol?

: I am taking 80 mg sotolol and am having problems w ith fatigue insomnia and irregular heart rhythms and problems breathing .I have been taking it for 2 yrs without a problem only in the past 2 months has it become an issue. I have had quard bypass sugery and also have pacemaker/ defib. What might have happened? and can i stop taking it without major problems.Can t go on this way. Andy

Hi,

As you are on sotalol for 2 years, the irregular rhythm does not correlate with a side effect of the same.

However, another disorder with pacemaker malfunction or else have to be co-related with EKG by an expert cardiologist.

It is not recommended to stop its further doses without medical advice.
