Are Fatigue, Weight Gain, Hair Loss, Lack Of Concentration Symptoms Of Hypothyroidism?
hi i am a 21 year old male who has recently began to experience weight gain,fatigue eyebrow hair loss and a bald patch in beard very poor concentration and ability to focus along with sweating which i believe may be from the weight gain. im a premed student undergrad and taking an internal medicine course has led me to believe i have developed hypothyroidism i dont know if its me being paranoid or are these symptoms related?

As you are reading Medicine and are quite aware so there is not much that you should be told. Anyways there is a condition called Medical Students Disease or Second Year Syndromes, so that can happen but since your symptoms are less of a subjective variety so there is a fair chance that you might have an hypofunctioning thyroid. So you can check your FT4 and TSH level.
