Hello dear,i understand your concern. In my opinion frequent tightness of abdomen along with backache before 37 weeks is not normal.Infact the braxton hick contractions are painless. The tightness after 37 weeks indicate that you are going into labour.Anything before 37 weeks need examination to see for any cervical changes to rule out preterm labour pains.Take adequate fluids upto 3 litres per day to prevent urinary infections and also dehydration.Because the infections and dehydration cause uterine irritability and pains. So relax and consult doctor.
