Are Hard Lumps On The Lower Abdomen A Cause For Concern?
Hi I used to be 411 lb lady but I have lost 160 lbs my problem is I am finding very hard knots in my lower belly that range from dime size to quarter size and they hurt when you touch them and they feel like they have a hard center that when you pinch sends pain all over my lower belly.? What could these be?
Hi. Thanks for your query. Noted the history and understood your concerns. It is wonderful to know that you lost 160 lbs from 411 lbs. During this period the fat all over the body gets a changeover and since you are a lady, this is bit governed also by the hormones. The most probable cause of development of multiple lumps in lower abdomen is indicative of fat inflammation and changeover. This can be diagnosed by the following: Please consult a General surgeon for clinical review. High resolution ultrasonography along with FNAC can help to get a proper diagnosis. There is no specific treatment but if these lumps are or become troublesome you can get these operated and send the specimens for biopsy to know the exact cause so that any further management if needed and helpful can be undertaken.
