Are Having Burning Itchy Sensation During Urination Symptoms Of Having UTI?

Hello Dr. Rynne I am 54 years old and last week I started to feel burning, itching when I passed urine and a clear / white vaginal discharge so I thought it could be an Uti since I had multiple ones before with similar symptoms but on the mild side to the point that I thought it was going way. As per today I started to feel discomfort towards my back and the burning feeling with a clear discharge but a thread bright red blood when I wiped my self.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

It can be a sign of urinary tract infection. Do a urine culture and start antibiotics according to the culture reports.

Nothing much to worry and the symptoms will improve with timely antibiotics. As of now drink plenty of water.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
