Hallow Dear,
Hot flushes at the age of 50 years is a classic feature of (peri)menopausal syndrome. You have not mentioned about your menstrual cycles; however, I feel they could be irregular or will become irregular now. Non-appearance of menses for 6-9 months should be considered as
menopause. Hot flushes as perimenopausal syndrome may be associated with
tingling sensations as you have described.
All the perimenopausal symptom are due to
Oestrogen deficiency woman starts facing at this age. This deficiency is due to paucity of the eggs left in the ovaries.
If you can tolerate these symptoms, you may just engage yourself in some activities and ignore them.
Meditation, eating phyto-oestrogenic food like soya, broccoli, etc. will help you get rid of such symptoms. However, if they become intolerable, you may have to take
hormone replacement therapy (HRT) for some time. HRT should be taken only after thorough investigations to find the fitness to this therapy and should be started only with a Gynaecologist's advice and under supervision.
I hope this helps you.
