Are Inflamed Feet, Weight Loss And Shoulder Pain Symptoms Of End-stage Myelofibrosis?

Hi Doctor . M7 65 yr old husband was diagnosed in 2012 with Myelofibrosis. He s been on thalidomide for 16 months. It had stem the progression of the condition. But he is experiencing strong inflamation in his feet and calves now . Pain in left shoulder sharp loss of weight. Are these symptoms of end stage ? He was diagnosed 5 years ago. Please advise.

these are significant symptoms, however it is impossible to judge about the prognosis and if this is terminal stage or not. If he is in good general condition and heart and lung functions are fine then there is no need to be worried. his inflammations shoul dbe tredted with antibiotics and nonsteroid painkilllers or corticosterids if his condition allows that.
