Are Itching And Swelling On The Fingers Symptoms Of Gout Or Hives?
I have swelling in my right middle finger & redness at the knuckle it is very itchy. Yesterday I have swelling in my left ankle with renew & pain when I walk. I with to the doctor they gave me a cortisone shot & for anti inflammatory meds then my swelling with down but this morning my finger is swollen, I don't know if its gout or hives?

Itching, swelling and pain may be due to gouty arthritis or inflammatory arthritis.
Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is. Please get the blood urea, uric acid, serum creatinine and electrolytes done. Also check for thyroid status and use tablet Tramadol with Paracetamol.
Please consult your physician, he will examine and treat you accordingly.
