Are Large Tonsils With Voice Change Recurrence Of Tonsillitis?

My 3 year old daughter had a temp of 39.1 yesterday, nearly normal today. Had suspected tonsillitis few weeks ago. Tonsils still seem large and have lots of veins on them. She has now developed white lines and her voice is different. She is also tired, is this tonsillitis again.

Hello,
Tonsils are a first line of defense and can become chronically infected. When no longer able to heal, removal can be considered. See your physician for further evaluation. Have you been prescribed an antibiotic? Appropriate strength Tylenol will help reduce fever and signs of inflammation, but not fight the infection. Additional throat symptoms and the increase signs of inflamed tonsils indicate advancing signs of infection. Your doctor can make the correct diagnosis. I recommend Rest, warm salt water rinses and keeping hydrated until doctor is seen.
Thank you for your inquiry. I hope your child feels better soon.
