on? I have been trying to google this but i can’t find an answer but in front of 3 middle bottom teeth my gums are moving when i touch them like i can fold them in any direction. The gums are not attached to my teeth at the top part and also pieces are coming off and one is split
The loosening of the gums commonly occurs due to brushing or flossing too harsh. Infection of the gums or underlying disease condition of the gums, periodontitis. Periodontitis when left untreated causes infection around the soft tissue of the teeth. It may also cause bone loss.
Get clinically examined by a dentist, your treating dentist can recommend scaling and root planing. You will be prescribed a course of antibiotics or mouth rinses to heal the gums and control infection. However, the treating dentist may recommend surgery to remove the inflamed gum and bone damaged by the infection.
Sometimes, bone grafts are also done.
