Are Low BP And Dizziness Due To The Side Effects Of Femara?
Took femara for fertility reasons, three days after ending it I had an extreme dizzy spell for ten days. Dizziness was gone when I ovulated. Dizziness caused my BP to go down from a normal 117/70 to an 74/43. Could this all be a side effect of the med? I had delayed leg pain the last cycle I took it
Hello As you mentioned that you are taking FEMARA i.e. letrozole is an aromatase inhibitors and its adverse reactions are very mild and include nausea, headache , fatigue ,hot flushes and arthralgia. But you mentioned that develop dizziness , this may be due to femara but not sure . However dizziness may be due to other reasons as ovulation , hot flushes or arthralgia. But if once there is dizziness , naturally blood pressure wili decrease, so don't worry . Ger in regular check up for blood pressure next 4-5 days to rule out any pathology.Leg pains may be due to a side effect of femara.
Letrozole is non-steroidal aromatase inhibitors used for OVULATION induction in patients with PCOS ( PCOD) resistant to clomifiene. Hope this will be useful for you. Good luck.
