I have a lump just above my navel. When I apply even the slightest of pressure I get a very strong pulse that almost feels like it is lifting my fingers it is so strong. My hands often get clammy as well. Yesterday, my physical therapist noticed it and said it did not present normal and suggested I go see my primary doctor. I see doctors frequently from injuries resulting from a serious car accident years ago, I really don t want another doc visit unless truly necessary. What are your thoughts?
Hi,Welcome to HCM. You seem to have Peri-umbilical Hernia,as it pops out lifting fingers pressed on it. These lumps are abnormal and occur when the umbilical cord weakness remains in later life. I would suggest Second Opinion and its urgent repair from your Surgeon,as this hernia has chance of frequent obstruction and strangulation, with high risk to life. This would help you to plan treatment with your doctor. Hit thanks if convinced. Will appreciate Premium query for further enquiry. Dr.Savaskar, Senior Surgeon M.S.Genl-CVTS
