Hello,
Thank you for asking at HCM.
I went through your history and would like to make suggestions for you as follows:
1. Asthma is a very broad diagnosis. As you have repeated breathing difficulties (may be seasonal), associated with allergies, I would think of asthma. To confirm the diagnosis, a test known as "
spirometry with post-
bronchodilator reversibility testing" is necessary.
2. I would like to mention here that seroflo inhaler is a "controller" type of inhaler, it is not be used irregularly/intermittently. If it is used in a gap of 3-4 days, it will not be as effective as it should be.
So please use inhalers as suggested by you doctor.
3. I would agree for daily
Montek-LC (
montelukast +
levocetirizine).
4. I would suggest you
allergy testing for common allergens like - house dust mites, insect proteins, indoor molds, regional pollens and pet dander (if you have pet). This will help you identify the substances causing allergies to you and also to know the measures to avoid them.
5. Based on allergy testing, an Allergist-Immunologist may prescribe you allergen specific
immunotherapy which gradually improves allergy symptoms by working on immune system.
6. Regular breathing exercises and a healthy diet rich in vitamins & minerals will also help you in a long run by improving your lung capacity and immunity respectively.
Hope above suggestions will be helpful to you.
Should you have any further query, please feel free to ask at HCM.
Wish you the best of the health ahead.
Thank you & Regards.
