Are Oral Steroids Safe To Take For Itching Sensation On The Neck?

I was bit by Nairobi fly few weeks ago, I applied aloe Vera gel, it worked for a bit then it started itching a lot in sleep I probably itched, and it spread all over my neck, my doctor has given me anti biotic course, steroid cream and steroid tablets to take for one month , is it necessary to take oral steroids

oral steroids are necessary.because since it was due to hypersensitivity reaction,oral steroids effectively control them.
