Are Pain In The Left Side Of The Stomach And Nausea Due To Periods?
My 13 year old daughter has pain on her left side stomach area for 6 days off and on (more on). she has nausea also, but does not vomit. heating pad helps and so does Rolaids with melatonin. she currently takes Famotidine for GERD. her period ended only a couple days before this pain started. Could this be associated with her period?
It could be a dysmenorrhea associated with periods. As of now she can try over the counter available analgesics like mefenemic acid for symptomatic relief.
If symptoms even after periods, an ultrasound scan is required to rule out conditions like stone disease.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
