Hi,I am Dr. Prabhakar Koregol (Cardiologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Are Palpitations And Pressure And Tingling Sensation In Both Arms Related To A Heart Attack?
Think I had a heart attack last night. Have had one before. Was on a plane and had definite palpitations, pressure and tingling in both arms. Palpitations continued pretty much all night. Never had pain in arms, but never did last time either. Ran 4 miles this a.m. which is why I am not so nervous. But this has happened before. Thoughts?
Your symptoms could be related to possible cardiac arrhythmia or a panic attack. For this reason, I recommend going to the ER for a physical exam and some tests: - A resting ECG and cardiac enzymes - A chest X-ray study and D dimmer plasma levels - complete blood count, PCR, ESR - Blood electrolytes
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Ilir Sharka, Cardiologist
