Are Pelvic Cramps, Especially While Having An Orgasm, Causes For Concern?
Hi....I am 65 years old...a post menopausal female. I have had two live births. Lately I have lost weight when it's usually hard for me to lose. I also have cramping in my pelvic area....especially at orgasm. Should I be concerned? YYYY@YYYY
Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. I understand your concern. Contraction of pelvic muscles and sometimes going in for cramps could be experienced during orgasm. Hence, there is nothing much to be worried about it. However, sometimes, cramps could occur more frequently due to calcium deficiency, especially as age advances. Hence, it would be better for you to supplement calcium regularly along with intake of calcium rich foods. Practicing pelvic floor relaxation exercises and keeping yourself well hydrated would also be helpful. Hope the information provided would be helpful. Best wishes and keep good health. Regards, Dr.Ashakiran.S. MBBS., MD.
