Are Persistent Stomach Cramps A Symptom Of Ulcerative Colitis?
I have active ulcerative colitis. It has been active for 1.5 years. This morning I woke up with persistent stomach cramping that is throughout my entire abdomen, from just above pubic bone to just below the rib cage. It does not go away after using the restroom. I played some tennis and now have severe back pain as well - lower back right from my spine to my hip. I am not sure if I should get it is just a very back UC day, or something more.
It may be acute gastritis or flare up of ulcerative colitis pain. Use tablet Pantoprazole before breakfast for one week. Get ultrasound abdomen for bowel loops inflammation or Infection. Check stool for mucous or blood. need colonoscopy to confirm it. Please consult your physician or gastroentrologist he will examine and treat you accordingly.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
