Are Several Episodes Of Bleeding From The Testicle A Serious Concern?
Hi! My husband has had several incidents in the past week with severe bleeding of the testicle. There is a gel type thing that comes out of the hole. We went to Emergency and they told him it is healing and would be fine. We don t really believe that as it happened so many times but nothing was done there. Can you shed any light on this problem? Thanks.
Your husband's symptoms are indicative of trauma to the testis. Underlying medical condition that can cause bleeding are prostrate inflammation, ruptured sebaceous cyst, epididymitis that can be caused by STIs or chlamydia, gonorrhea. Sometimes, it can be fissure or hemorrhoids. You are suggested to get your husband clinically examined by a urologist, get him STD tests done. He will be treated with antibiotics / anti-virals. Get him all the required tests and investigations, imaging tests done so that pathology can be detected, and treatment started at the earliest.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr Nupur K.
