Are Severe Joint Pain, Extreme Fatigue And Back Pain Due To Rheumatoid Arthritis?

I was diagnosed about a year ago with an Autoimmune Disorder, but the RA factors were inconclusive on what I had. I was treated for a short time with Prednisone but told I could not take this long term. I have one kidney, since birth, and do not want to cause damage there. I am currently having SEVERE joint pain, Extreme Fatigue and back pain. Could this be RA or Fibromialga?

Hello,

You should know that both these disorders may lead to your complaints. But the blood lab tests are the main tool to differentiate between these disorders. When all blood lab tests result normal, fibromyalgia is the most probable diagnosis.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
