Are Small Red Bumps Around Clitoral Hood Indicative Of STD?
I have small red tiny bumps around my clitoral hood. I had symptoms of bv after trying to conceive a week prior to having them, but the smell suddenly went away. My discharge returned to normal, but now I have random irritation on my vulva and bumps that are small and red around the clitoral hood, and also bumps that look like ingrown hairs on the outside of labia majora. I plan on going to check for STIs but wanted to know if it was something that could happen from an allergen or skin infection.
I doubt it can happen from an allergy or skin infection, and I would although consider acts like shaving the hair in the region, waxing or just friction from clothing to be the cause if at all any if these were present. Try applying a warm compress to the region, keep the area clean and dry, take warm showers at least 2 times a day, change your inner wesr regularly, and try taking sitz baths with epsom salt in it.
Also, make sure you wash your genitalia superficially a while after sexual intercourse. Many women forget to wash or avoid washing in fear of preventing conception when they are trying to conceive.
You can and should wash superficially, may be not within. Hope this helps.
Best wishes.
