hi sir, relax as small traces of blood in urine is not always abnormal.to those patients, who attend my clinic with similar symptoms,i advise the following:
1)if blood is traces and only a single episode,re testing of urine after 1 month is recommended.
2)if any burning or pain while urinating, urine culture and sensitivity is to be done to rule out any
urinary tract infections.
3)if visible blood appears in urine or blood traces continue even in the next urine sample,
serum creatinine is to be done to rule out any kidney disease.
the following are some of the causes of blood in urine:
1)kidney diseases :
glomerulonephritis,pyelonephritis
2)bladder : tumour,infection,stones
3)any kidney
injury either due to trauma or vigorous sports.
4)
prostate pathology.
in my opinion, you can go for urine analysis after 1 month and that will decide the further management.hope my explanation is clear.any other queries, please do write to us.thank you.take care.bye.
