Hi,
Thank you for posting your query in Health Care Magic and i understand your concern.
If you a diabetic , the carbohydrate count allowed per meal is around 45-60 gm but this again depends on your sugar levels each day. You will have to alter the count based on your everyday sugar levels.
Smoothies for diabetics is okay if the carb count is in the range i mentioned earlier, and also try and avoid certain fruits which are known to have high sugars like banana, figs, dried fruits, mango etc .
But i would not recommend you taking smoothies everyday , as any fruit you take will have considerable sugars in them. Choose smoothies made of citrus fruits, berries, pineapple, watermelon etc which will be low on carbs.
If you are trying to lose weight look for low calorie food and take them in small servings many 4-5 times a day. Eat well and exercise well to get rid of the extra pounds.
Hope this answers your query satisfactorily.
Take care and write back to me if you need further assistance.
Wish you good health.
