Are Sore Breast And Bleeding Normal After Taking Plan B?
Hi, I had unprotected sex on November 8th around 1:00AM and I got plan B the next morning and took it around 10am. I am worried because the night I had sex was the first day I was fertile in my cycle. After i took plan b, about two weeks later I have been noticing a thick, light brown discharge. It started on the November 19th and it has been happening since (20th). The discharge is sometimes an excessive amount of it, and sometimes it is not. Also, I ve notice my boobs have been sore lately, and its unusual because that only usually happens a week before my period. Although, my period is not expected until the 27th. Should I be worried?
Breast engorgement and tenderness is quite common after birth control especially combined estrogenprogesterone pills. You can take Progesterone only pills (POP) which has got less chance for breast pain and has got similar efficacy as that of combined pills. You can take analgesics like Mefenemic acid for pain relief. If the symptoms are severe, you can consult a gynecologist and get evaluated.
