Are Taking Injections The Best Treatment For Blockage In Retina?
I have blockage ( bleeding) in my left eye retina. My Local eye Doctor has suggested injections ( Avastin), which may have to be taken 3 to 4 times, within few months gap. Is this the best course of action. The eye also needs cataract operation, at the earliest. Please suggest.
Hello It seems from the history that you are having vascular obstructions of the retina probably retinal vein occlusion. The recent treatment is by the use of intravitreal injections in the form of avastin. Hence the treatment advised by your doctor is correct and do consult your eye doctor at the earliest for treatment as delay in the treatment may lead to irreversible damage.
Thank you
