Are The Cilest Pills Sufficient To Prevent Pregnancy?
I am on cilest birth control, I missed 7 days of pills during my last cycle and was on penicillin for 10 days. After completing the penicillin course I had 8 days of cilest before my 7 free days. Then started 4 days of new pack. Do I need to use extra form of birth control if I continue with the new pack?
If you were on penicillin and did not have unprotected sexual intercourse; missed Cilestcontraceptive pills then the risk of pregnancy is not there.
Cilest pills is a combination CP & effective to prevent pregnancy when taken regularly without gaps on the same time everyday. Missed pills should be taken immediately when remembered.
In case pills are forgotten & you have unprotected sexual intercourse then you should take Emergency CP within 72 hours of unprotected sex.
Medicines taken along with regular CP may reduce the efficacy of the CP.
