Are There Any Laser Surgical Treatments For Uterine Prolapse In A Octogenarian?
my mother who is 80 years of age has uterine prolapse as she had partial hysterectomy 40 years ago...they left her a partial of her uterus. Is there any laser surgery that could be done as she is too old for a regular surgery according to her doctors.
Hi, Thanks for consulting us. Yes, these days there is no age limit for surgery & any patient who is fit as suggested by an anesthetist can have surgery. Regional or local anesthesia can be used for many sling operations or TVT insertions. These are suitable for her or not depend upon her doctors advise & patients complains/ type of prolapse etc. Anyway if she has been declared unfit for surgery, one other non-surgical option is vaginal passerines. There is no laser surgery offered for uterine prolapse. Take care.
