Are There Any Possibility To Stop Bleeding Due To Ulcers And A Low Heart Rate Due To Enemia?
yes my father is having surgery tomorrow he has diabeties, gastric ulsers, and enemia. His doctor whants to put a pace maker in because of his low heart beat . My question is is his enemia was caused by his gastric ulsers and they can get the bleeding to stop which I understood it they can then why is he having surgy would'ent his enemia cause a low heart beat and his heart rate pick up after the ulsers stop bleeding?
Anemia is most likely due to the bleeding ulcers, but usually the heart rate goes up when anemia is present. If his heart rate is slow enough that his doctors think he needs a pacemaker, then that problem is due to something with his heart and doesn't have anything to do with the ulcers. Even if they got the ulcers to stop bleeding and the anemia was improved, he would still need the pacemaker. With control of anemia and ulcers, the heart rate would normally go down even further. Hope this answers your query. If you have further questions, I would be happy to answer them.
