Are There Any Problems For Taking Chlorpheniramine And Diphenhydramine For Babies?

is it ok for a child below 2 years to take chlorpheniramine and diphenhydramine? what is the maximum dose for both of this drug for child below 2 years? lasty, what are the side effect outcome in long term period for both of this drug if given to child below 2 years? does it affect any system in the future?

Hi,
Thank you for asking question on health care magic.
The dose of chlorpheniramine is 0.35 mg/kg body weight 4-6 hourly or 1 mg/dose for 2-6 years old.
Diphenhydramine dose is 5 mg/kg/day orally in 4 divided doses.
The side effect is drowsiness and sedation like any other antihistamine drug.
