Are There Any Side Effects For Mirtazapine?

Hi Dr , just a prescription for Mirtazapine 7.5mg have been having panic attacts and anxiety, and trouble sleeping, tonight is my first night that I will be taking this, but will not take it till 9 PM pacific time, what do you think about this medicine, my doctor is so against anything like this, but she knew I needed something, she thought I could try this to help with sleep and anxiety.

Mirtazepine improves mood and feelings of well-being. The dose should not exceed 45 milligrams per day. this medication should be used regularly in order to get the most benefit from it,has to be taken at the same time each day. It may take between 1-4 weeks to notice improvement in your symptoms. so,do not increase your dose or take it more often than prescribed.It is important to continue taking this medication even if you feel well. Do not stop taking this medication without consulting your doctor.
Drowsiness,dizziness,weight gain,dry mouth,constipation are the common side effects which will reduce after some time. fast heartbeat,hallucinations, loss of coordination, severe dizziness, severe nausea/vomiting/diarrhea, twitching muscles, unexplained fever, unusual agitation/restlessness are the serious side effects which usually will not occur but if they are present you must consult your dr immediately who can suggest gradual tapering of this with start of alternate medicine. This has 8/10 in rating for treating insomnia by previous users. daily meditation and keeping postive out look helps in reducing anxiety.
