Are There Any Side Effects For Norethisterone Tablets?

sir, i am going abroad to meet my husband this,incase we may engage in sex, my period date is near,so i thought to have norethisterone tablet to dealy my period date. will i have any side effects or is there any problem for having pregnency because of havving such medicines

Hi,

Taking pills here and there is not a good nor reliable means of birth control. There has been a question about a small increase in birth defects with taking hormones but considering how many pregnancies occur while someone is on birth control, the risk just can't be that high. Certainly taking hormones WILL change the menstrual cycle but it isn't that reliable at delaying the period.
