Are There Any Side Effects For Using Predcort And Auroflux Together?

Hi, my child has a cough for the past twoo months, have been useing other cough syrups, this one the doctor recently precribe for her she s 4 and is on predcort ds and auro flux does it have any reaction by useing it togerther? and secondly is predcort ds if safe for her although it has the predisilone in it? please i reaaly would like to know thank you.

Hello,
It is safe to use both predcort and aeroflux togetehr.
Predcort DS is safe if used for just 3 to 5 days. She may have an increased appetite, abdominal pain. Give the predcort after food. Short duration of steroids are not a problem.
If she has very frequent cough disturbing her sleep, she may benefit from inhaled steroids such as budesonide apart from levosalbutamol inhaler if she has a wheeze. Ask your doctor to do an asthma scoring and proceed accordingly. Another thing to rule out in prolonged cough is tuberculosis
