Are There Any Side Effects In Taking Ilaprazole And Cinitapride During 1st Trimester Of Pregnancy?
hai doctor, iam 24 year pregnant women,i used ilaprazole and cinitapride during 1st trimester.now iam in 2nd trimester.is there any major side effects to baby with these drugs?please let me know as soon as possible and i will get aborted if there are any major side affects.
Unfortunately there is limited information about both these drugs and cinitapride is actually contraindicated in pregnancy unless its use outweighs benefits. Animal studies have shown harmful effects on the baby. Information about ilaprazole on pregnant women is not available and it is not recommended during pregnancy.
Most of the structural defects can be detected using a high level ultrasound scan. Genetic defects can be detected using an amniocentesis procedure where cells are collected from the amniotic fluid and examined for defect. Most of the babies with major anomalies abort, so chances of having an affected baby may be less in your case. I recommend that you discuss these issues with you treating obstetrician and then decide about further action. Hope this answered your query. Thanks for using HCM. Have a good day.
