I switched from Ibandronate 150mg once a month to alendronate 70 mg tab once a week, because of insurance copay amounts. I have not been feeling well since, my bones ache I m irritable, don t handle stress well and don t sleep well. I take ibruprophen daily for pain. Am I experiencing side effects?

Alendronate can cause musculoskeletal pain like bone aches. Ibandronate can also cause same type of pain. Both the drugs belong to the same class as bisphosphonates.
Alendronate causes musculoskeletal pain more frequently than Ibandronate. If you were tolerant to ibandtonate, I would suggest to move back to it if possible.
Hope this helps. Thanks.
