Are There Any Side Effects Of Taking Phenytoin?
I suffer from seizures for 12 years I m now 44 I still have 3-4 petit mal seizures a month I have no aura I stare into space when I have a fit.When I come around I m very lethargic and need to sleep happens a lot in front of tv, I shake a bit and stare into space.After that I am very confused and don t know my name for about 30 minutes.I take phenytoin but it can t stop seizures , I have tried epilem keppra lamotriigene tegretol phenobarbital over 15 Meds but seizures remain Plus my short term memory is awful and I have shaking hands is this side effects of phenytoin? Get an EEG and MRI to know the exact etiology of your seizures.you should go for longterm medication of your anti epileptics.consult neurologist for expert management.thankyou
