Are There Any Side Effects Of Taking Plan B Pill?

I am on day 9 of taking the MonoNessa (combination) birth control pill. I have taken them every day. Mostly at the same time (within a 2 hr range). There were 2 days where I took it 12 hrs later though due to forgetting to take it before work. (I now bring them with me). I began them last Saturday 8/23. I typically start a period on the weekend toward the end of the month, but my last 2 periods were irregular so I started the pill on Saturday to hopefully reap the benefits of helping my acne. The next day I started spotting and began a period on Monday. I was still spotting over this past weekend which is unusual for me. My periods usually last about 4 days. Early Sunday 8/30, 3am early, I had unprotected sex due to a condom failing/breaking. Should I take the Plan B pill? It gives me long lasting very severe acne, so I d really rather not. My skin is still recovering from my taking it in June.

Hi,

It is not necessary to take emergency pills if you are in a contraceptive everyday pill. Having a delay of 12 hours doesn't affect protection even if you miss a day you should take it as soon as possible. If you miss two days the protection is ruined and you should use a second protection method. The stomach aches, spotting, bloating and nausea are symptoms of taking I pill.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
